Guests will meet, in the countryside of Badolato, farmers and owners of agricultural companies (from the countryside to the oil mill) that produce extra virgin olive oil, to discover the traditional and authentic harvesting and pressing of olives with the following program: welcome and introductory greetings , narrating and regenerating walk in the olive grove among monumental historic trees and young plants, hugging the trees, relational meeting with farmers and workers, experience of harvesting olives by hand and with mechanical means, immersive listening on the various harvesting methodologies etc., typical farmer aperitif in the olive grove, olive harvesting for typical traditional recipes.Relaxation break, typical lunch with tasting with active participation in the organization and realization of the convivial moment.
Traditional recipes workshop: learning to make “allivi rutti” and “allivi ‘e giarra” with Mrs. Sisina, a local woman, among history, traditions, dialect and taste. At the end, a sensorial visit to the oil mill, explanation of the process of pressing the olives through the guided accompaniment of the oil mill operator, tasting of the oil with tasting-sensory-olfactory explanation etc., final meeting with the elderly owner of the oil mill with a final gift of a culinary souvenir (for each guest, a small bottle of extra-virgin olive oil and group photo).
