DAY 1 – Friday, April 18th
Arrival at Lamezia Terme (Airport or Rail Station). Transfer to Badolato (CZ). Check in and welcome drink. In the afternoon transfer to Davoli (CZ). Dinner in a local restaurant. Participation at the traditional religious procession “Naca” with its evocative and ancestral rite of the “lanterns-lit trees”. Return back to Badolato. Overnight.
DAY 2 – Saturday, April 19th
Breakfast. Guided tour of the old medieval village of Badolato (CZ) walking to the ancient church of the Immaculate Conception for the departure of the traditional and evocative “Holy Saturday – Penitential Procession of the Sorrowful Mysteries” . Free lunch ant time at your leisure. In the evening typical tour of the ancient cellars (called “catoja”) of the village, amongts moments of widespread conviviality …meeting local people & tasting local food and wine. Return to your accommodation and overnight.
DAY 3 – Sunday, April 20th
Breakfast. Stroll around the old village waiting for the traditional “Cumprunta”
(emotional and suggestive religious procession of the Easter Sunday). Easter lunch in a local restaurant/farmhouse. In the afternoon, transfer to Stilo & Bivongi exploring the “Stilaro Valley”. Sweet-tasting stop for an artisanal ice-cream on the way. Return back to Badolato and overnight.
DAY 4 – Monday, April 21st
Breakfast. Let’s enjoy calabrian Pasquetta! (traditional “Easter Monday Feast”) with typical lunch and folk music at the local farmhouse. In the afternoon transfer to Soverato (CZ). Slow-walk around the sea-town enjoying the traditional “Fiera della Galilea” (open-air market and fair). Relaxing-time on the city-waterfront with an italian aperitif. Return back to Badolato and overnight.
Day 5 – Tuesday, April 22nd
Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to Lamezia Terme (International Airport or Rail Station). End of our services.
